H&A Revolver

I have a H&A .32 5 shot revolver. On top of the frame it's stamped "XL DOUBLE ACTION" and below that "HOPKINS & ALLEN ARMS Co" "NORWICH, CT. USA", and on the bottom of the grip "363".

When "dry" fired it will cock and fire, but the trigger won't release back to the firing position without a nudge. Nickel plate looks good, black grip.

When was it produced and what is it worth?

  Your piece was made in or before 1914. That's the best I can do at work. If no one else answers, I'll narrow it down from home. In 90% condition it is worth about $85.00.

  Welcome to the FORUMS.....
  Normally a GOOD Cleaning and Oiling will take care of the Sticking Problem....If Not it will need to be taken to a Good Gunsmith and the
  Internal Parts looked at...Maybe a Little STONING is going to be required? ...........

  A lot of these top break revolvers have weakened or broken trigger return springs. They are V springs and probably available from Numrich
  or Dixie Gun Works. You have to drive out the two pins that hold the trigger guard in place. It may take three hands to reassemble because the trigger return springs are very stiff.

  This revolver does not break at the top (if thats what top break means). Rounds are inserted into the cylinder thru a cut out on the right side.
  
  Additional question: Do you know if there any reliable gunsmiths in the central Florida (Daytona-Deltona area)? In the phone book they all seem to be pawn shops.
