Ruger M77 stock availability

Anyone know where I can get a short action laminated stock for my Ruger M77 MKII .308? Mine currently has the new style synthetic stock but I have been told by two competent gunsmiths that these cannot be bedded because the bedding compound will not stick to Ruger's new stock material. I thought I would acquire a laminated stock they put on their "Sporter" and try it. Any help would be appreciated.

  I have been installing a stock from a fairly new company called "LamTech". They are very nicely finished and the fit is about as close to a true "drop-in" as you'll find. They are offered in tan/brown and gray/black. The price is extremely reasonable. If you can't find a local source, let me know.
