Any info on Winchester Model 02, Patented August 29,1899, Short, long or extra long on side. .22 single shot bolt action. Thanks

  Based on the cartridge chamber marking, it was manufactured sometime between 1914 and 1927 (when it was changed to Short, Long, and Long Rifle, and became the Model 02A). Value is strictly dependent upon original condition, but most of them will be in the $75 - $200 range. Minty specimens can get up near $1K... to the right collector.

  Bert H pretty much nailed it. The 1900, 1902, 1904 and the Thumbtrigger were all very similar. There were a few small changes through the years that help in dating the different rifles.

  A warning though, if you start reading and studying about them you're going to want to own them. [^]
  
  Then You'll want a Winchester model 36 rimfire shotgun that looks just like your 1902.[:p] then 1904, Thumb Trigger, 58, 59, 60, 67 there is no end to it.
