I have a Colt "Officers Model" in 38 special. Serial #38xxx. The firearm is in fair condition with complete bluing but with very light rust spots but no deep pitting. Any idea as to what it may be worth? Any info greatly appreciated.

The best place? A web site called Gunbroker.com might get some response. Get some info on what it might be worth ($1200?), clean it up (but do not make the surface any worse than it is), take SHARP digital pictures, pick a reserve price if you want, post it with full description, maybe include a disclaimer for bidders to CAREFULLY CHECK WHETHER THE PRODUCT MAY BE IMPORTED INTO THEIR STATE BEFORE THEY BID (there are restrictions on interstate commerce), and watch the collectors have fun.

    OOopps......
Was looking at my .22 Caliber Serial Number charts.......According to the serial number, gun was made in 1909. You might find a good market out there IF the gun is in Good or better condition. Barrel length is critical to value, also, with the 4, 4 1/2, and 5 inch barrel guns receiving a 60% adder for value. Could Range from $550 to about $2,000, depending on condition and Buyer's desire to own. Good Luck!
