Llama Max-1--Vs.---1911 compatablity
Does anyone know if grips from a colt 1911 .45 auto will work on a Llama Max-1. I just purchased a Llama and would like to dress it up a bit. according to Llama's web site, most of the other parts will fit, but it doesn't say about the grips. ----Ky-hunter

They will not fit. The screw holes are in a different location. I have one and a lot of 1911 pistols. I have not found any parts that will interchange. I have been impressed with the Llama for what it costs. I don't know how long it will last, but I have not had any malfunctions in about 500 rounds. I think it is interesting that the extractor system that it uses have been adopted for the new S&W 1911. 0 -

the grip won't fit but the hammer ,hammer strut, main spring, mag release, trigger , barrel ,barrel bushing, thumb safety,magazines,
plunger and spring ,recoil spring and a couple of other small parts.
