8.2x66 Russian??

Does anyone have any information on a possible Soviet era sporting
cartridge known by it's dimensions, 8.2x66? There is an article in the latest Gun Digest by Clarence E. Ellis where he speaks of a similar cartridge casing he found in Mongolia which he refers to as the "8mm Mongol Magnum".
