Selecta Pistol
I have a small pistol that has 1918 Model Automatic Pistol scribed on it. 7.65 cal, Selecta and it looks like AE is on the pistol grip. Does anyone know the manufacturer and detailed spec for this pistol?

Your pistol was made in Eibar Spain by a firm named Echave Y Arizmedi according to my references. It was one of the many similar type pistols made in Spain ( Browning Knock-Offs ) made there over 25 years prior to the Spanish Civil War. 0 -

I'm going to say off the top of my head that you have a Spanish made Selectra from Echave y Arizmendi, of Eibar Spain founded in 1911. The grips should bear a long thin "A" with a very round looking "E" in the center. There were three or four variations of these little pistols, mostly differences in calibers and the safety arrangement. These were not bad little guns and the company itself survived until around 1980 when it closed its doors. Back before the 1968 Gun Control Act there were a large number of pistols imported from this Spanish firm. I owned one of their "Fast" pistols, a copy of the Walther PP for a short time and although the quality was not up to Walther standards, the pistol worked just fine. I'd still like to get a second opinion from member Rufe-Snow on this information before I'd commit myself 100% to the identification of your handgun. I just read where the snowman says the same thing so I'd have to say that the ID is correct!

For a magazine try Forrest, Inc. @619-561-5800 or Triple K @ 619-232-2066. These guys produce magazines to fit nearly every odd ball handgun ever made and should have something that will fit and feed in your pistol.
