Charles Clawson?
I was at a gun show this weekend, was looking around to find some of his books. Of course no luck. However the one guy at the book stand told me to hold off on buying. He said that Clawson was going to reprint some of his books. He wasn't sure which ones. Anyway has anybody else heard this?

Yes, his Collector's Guide to the Colt M1911A1 (the smaller version of his book) has been updated & is currently being printed. It should be ready for sale within 6 weeks; it can be pre-ordered on Amazon. I think that the price is around $35.
I'm sure glad I didn't pay > $200 for the first edition.

There are also sellers here on Gunbroker taking orders for them.
I ordered one.

Any word on the big book? Should I sell it while I can still get $600-$700 for it?

Thanks, I looked on Amazon. You can order the new revised second edition right now, says 1-2 day shipping. They say it's a hardcover book. I'm wondering if he will reprint the small paperback one, that is more like a reference manual. I sure would like to get a copy of that. Anyway, I'm off to order one now. Thanks 0 -
martz. I think the "collector's guide" IS the small book; it was published both as a SB and an HB?
Maybe Neal or madmarc0 know better and will correct me if I am wrong. As far as I know, Clawson has said repeatedly that there will be no further publications, but I think he was refering to the "big" book.
Anybody hear anything about reprinting or second edition of the "big" book?

Redcedars, He published a small paperback that was around 75 pages. This was more like a pamphlet. I have a friend that has one. They are great for gun shows or auctions. Easy to carry and all the referrence you need (hopefully). The smaller hardback is about 130 pages, I think the paperback is just a more condensed version. More like just the basics and no story. 0
