Push-button Winchesters??

[?]Thanks ahead of your helpful answer! Just when did that dreadful looking push-button safety appear on the side of the Winchester 94s? I recently found two 94 Trappers in 45LC at a Walmart but they DID NOT sport that nifty 30's push-button wallswitch looking safety. If I haven't yet made my true feelings clear about them there push gizmos, let it be said that I'm tempted to buy those Walmart guns and see if any other purist would appreciate one!!??

Actually I was stalling at the sporting goods while my wife did the shopping [xx(]......a sharp stick under the fingernail is better'n shopping!

  You were possibly seeing the newest version of the model 94 with a tang safety eliminating the push button version.
