  I see you are in Mississippi. You'd have to live in California to transfer the firearm to a California resident. Also banned are any mags over 10 rounds.
  
  I didn't check the list for your particular firearm, but am surprised to find older models of popular firearms not on the list. There are currently 828 models on the list. When you scroll through them, you see which manufacturers played the CDOJ game and did the proper submittals. Those manufacturers are fully represented. Others offer only a few models to the California public. Colt, for example has seven current models of it's venerable .45 ACP listed.

  The Norinco clone is perfectly legal here since it does not meet any of the assault weapons defintions. Generally speaking, assault weapons in CA must be semi automatic firearms and the Norinco is a pump action. Bayonet lugs are not a factor under California law.

  Thanks, Mark for setting him straight on that issue. I've still got "handgun banning" ringing in my ears and was blinded to the fact that there is an additional level to consider with rifles and shotguns, of which I know almost nothing.
