WTK: Info on Thalson 6 Shot Alarm Pistol

I have an old in the original box with papers Thalco Alarm pistol. It is model H.E. This gun was made in Germany. It says to use .22cal crimped, loud report blanks (patented), only. Regular live ammunition POSITIVELY CANNOT BE USED in THIS pistol. The outside of the box says Thalco Alarm Pistol made in Germany Model H.E. Holds 6 blanks. Fires flares. Caution! Do not sell to minors. Does anyone know what this is or what it is worth? I found it in my Great Grandma's dresser drawer.

  after further review of your post, is this a hand held gun or a window mount system? if its a gun shaped gun, its a plain old starting gun! let me know! send a pic!

  Thalson Import Co of San Francisco CA was one of the early importers of European Firearms in the post W W II era, circa early to mid 50's.
  Your blank/alarm pistol probably was acquired during that time frame. They generally were sold quite inexpensively and have little collectors interest and value now.

  Then why does it say Alarm Pistol on the box. Surely it is worth a little something as old as it is and since I have never seen anything like it before.

  Unfortunately old does not equal valuable. To be valuable someone has to want to pay a lot of money for it. No collectors for old stuff equals low value.
