We have a Model 70 featherweight that came back from an elk hunt with a cracked stock. I need some advice on how to get it repaired - or just try and replace it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

VERY COMMON WITH THESE TYPE SHOTGUNS AND EASY TO REPAIR, CLEAN ALL OIL FROM WOOD AND FORCE A LITTLE EPOXY INTO THE CRACK (BROWNELL'S ACRAGLAS) CLAMP TILL IT 'SETS'.

Same gun, gage and crack location. I used a wicking super glue and rubber bands as clamps and the crack is invisible.
If you remove just a smidgeon of wood at the front of the stock so just the tang is bearing tightly against the stock, the problem should not recurr.
