need help to find out what kind of german shotgun
This is a german dbl. barrel side by side shotgun, the only markings on the gun is on the sides and it reads Deutsches Sicherheits Gew ehrdr patent C. G. Haenel Suhl. I would like to know what type of gun this is and the date it was produced and maybe a value for it.. Greatly appreciate the help .. Thks Bobby Found out later that this gun will only shoot black powder shells and that it was made before wwII so this old turkey will set on shelf... for its remainer of its life... Bobby

C.G. Haenel is/was the manufacturer, and Suhl, Germany was the place of manufacure. The remander of the inscription refers to the German Patent. Without a lot more information it would be impossible to tell you exactly what you've got, other than that it was made before 1945. Some of these shotguns, depending on condition, are valuable and the Blue Book of Gun Values advises that they should be appraised individually. 0
