Colt Double Eagles MkII? + other ???

Some of these .45's say MkII, some don't, all, I think, say Series 90, some say "Combat Commander" below Colt Double Action, some do not, but look the same size.

So any one have the specific info that makes the different models ...different?

  Prior to MK 11, When taking the right grip off, internal parts would fall out, MK11's corrected this

  Thanks, p0838. The parts fall out when you remove the right grip on pre-Mk II models. Good to know.
  
  Regarding the same weapon, most .45 1911 full size models I see have the words "COMBAT COMMANDER" under "COLT DOUBLE ACTION". Some do not.
  
  Any idea what the difference is on .45 1911 full size models lacking the "COMBAT COMMANDER" designation?
  
  I have also so far learned the "Officer's" model from this era has a shorter barrel, and a 9mm currently on auction with GB is attracting attention, despite wear.
  
  I remain interested with this model because the prices ares reasonable, my model is accurate, and something you can only completely appreciate when dismantling - the parts are beautifully machined & built to last forever.
