    i am seeking information on a break open, single shot 12 gauge. it says "victor plain" "american gun co. new york" on its right side and "genuine armory steel" on the top of the barrel. any knowledge anyone could provide would be much appreciated. thankyou!

    1982 review of a 22lr version of something similiar in "Handgun Tests" (this one is named the "Panzer Derringer"):

    "This is a useless gun. It has a gold paint finish and real plastic pearl handles. It is not as bad as the Twister, because it is cheaper.

    It is an unreliable gun that requires you to twist the barrel if you want to get a second shot. That may not be much of a real problem, as some of these do not even get a first shot!

    This is advertised as a backup gun. It would be like having Joe Stalin taking care of your bank account! Oh, oh pass on this!"

    If you mother-in-law keeps it, make sure she is keeping it for sentimental value and nothing else...

    Thanks! She didn't really want to sell, was just wondering what it was. It is one of the few things we have to remember him by and its $$ value didn't really matter. Just didn't know what the hell it was!! Thanks for you time.
