Its a good, basic, reliable 9mm pistol, no frills, but if the price is right and you would like to have a good quality 9mm, go for it! My buddy has one and I have shot his, works great, no problems.

Looking at the feed ramp, well, there isn't one or much of one. The mag sits up high so the cartridges feed straight into the chamber, eliminating a degree of mis-feeds. I like the weapon, the 908 a bit more, but you get what you pay for. Listen to the sound and feel when you rack the slide. Then compare that to a Kimber or Colt. More metal, more solid.

That is what i was looking for, something reliable and cheap for plinking. I found a NIB for just under $300, I guess the guy just wants to get rid of it. It looks very similar to my friends 4006, but obviously smaller, but i like the feel and action of that pistol so i was inclined to believe they would be very similar in their characteristics. Thanks for all the info so far.

I got mine off a co worker who had it in hock, and couldn't afford to get it out so rather than let it lapse, I gave him $185, and he got it out of hock and gave it to me. Good deal huh.
Its a duty quality gun. The trigger on mine is great. Nice, real smooth and consistant DA pull. The SA pull is very short and light. I don't really like the straight grip though, it feels funny and just doesn't line up it my hands. Its reliable, I haven't had a malfunction once. But mine is horribly inaccurate compared to the rest of my collection. But I haven't tried to actually group it with various ammo's so I dont know, it might shoot better with something else.
The finish seems to wear off fairly easily. The slide looks like its parkerized or something. But its starting to show holster wear from the little I've done with it. And the aluminum lower just isn't really holding its anodizing as good as I'd expect.
In alot of aspects when I shoot it, it really reminds me of a Ruger P89, but with a better trigger pull. I had similar experiences with the P89. It felt bad in my hand, and I couldn't hit crap with it, but it kept on shooting.0 -
It is kind of finicky as to what kind of ammo it likes. It is best with factory ball ammo. Forget using hollow points and reloads because it will jam. This is a very basic price point gun. When you don't pay much, don't expect much.
