Out of time

Installed a new trigger, hammer and seer/bolt in my 357 Hawes Western Marshal to correct a trigger pull problem. Now the timing is off unless I cock the hammer real fast. After full normal pull the cylinder is not locked up but off slightly. What is the problem and cure. Any help will be appreciated. [:)]

  Newbie here with a question
  
  Have a model 642 s*w, at 25ft the grouping is sporatic, extremely.
  
  Its been this way for the last 100 rounds or so. I've been told its "out of time".
  
  could this be and can this be fixed?

  not being the expert here...i had this happen to my s&w m-25-2. the smith changed the hand, and internal springs that work the action. maybe someone else can be more specific..i/e: a real smith! have at it guys!

  Sometimes a good cleaning will do it, particularly on a Colt.

  What is actually happening? Does the cylinder advance too far or too short when the hammer falls on double action? Does the cylinder locking bolt come up in time to engage the cylinder notches or too late?
  If you remove an S&W or Colt sideplate along with the hammer spring, you can see the sequence of events taking place on single action and double action. In addition to replacing parts,there can be a bit of fiddling, filing and stoning to get a revolver properly timed especially with Colts.
