Stipped front sight screw ?

I have a Ruger stainless .22 target pistol with bull barrel that I would like to fix (barrel sight threads stripped) without sending it anywhere. Do I drill & tap oversize or can I get a thread insert? Ideas welcome. Thanks

  go to www.brownells.com and order a front sight repair kit.

  Thanks Bobski, will do. I didn't know it be that easy. By the way, this gun is NIB, I haven't even fired it yet.

  You are right, Ruger will fix sight
