Remington 1100 trap shotgun

I just purchased a Remington 1100 trap model shotgun at an auction and I was wondering if somebody could tell me what year it was made. The serial # is m132062v. It looks to grade out at excellent according to NRA grading system. I paid $400.00 for it and I think I got a good deal. Let me know what you think about the price and if you know what year it might be. Thanks, Bubba

  According to my book the last time they used "V" was 1979. What I found interesting was the "M" before the serial number, that usually means Magnum. Did you read it right? Regards Dave

  I double checked the serial # and it is m132062v. It has a 30" vented rib barrel, its shoots only 2&3/4 shells and its stamped trap on the right side of the reciever

  I double checked the serial # and it is m132062v. It has a 30" vented rib barrel thats stamped full choke. It shoots only 2&3/4 shells and its stamped trap on the right side of the reciever and it has a monte carlo stock on it. So, it's definately a trap gun.

  As far as a value, like new condition, about $600. 90% about $400 with a Monte Carlo Stock, according to the book. Hope this helps.

  You got a great buy. Check out the GB auctions, most 1100 traps are going for $500+. The older 1100 traps are considered better. Break'em all.
