HK USP Compact Variants?

I ran a search but couldn't find the answer from previous posts.

What is the difference between different variant models in the HK compacts? I see it listed on the auctions but I don't know what it means. Thanks!

  Heckler & Koch designed the USP(Universal Self-loading Pistol) to accomodate the needs of law enforcement,military,& civillians. They've got quite a selection of variants to choose from. The most popular is the variant 1 for right-handers(control lever left side)with decock,safety,& cock and lock features. If you are a left-hander, the variant 2(control lever right side) is available with same features as v1. The other variants that make up the list have features such as decock only, double action only,safety only,etc... Check out the HK website to find out more.
