Golden Boy Question

Took my Henry .22 LR Golden Boy to the range this past weekend. I worked fine until.... Talking to my friend, I absently mindedly put a number of maxi-mag .22's down the feeding tube. Seeing my error, I emptied them back out the tube. Might have also tried levering them out, but nothing came out that way. Refed the correct LR rounds 3 times, but the rifle would only "click" as if empty, no rounds feeding into the chamber.

Is this the much-noted extracter problem of Henrys? Does it sound as if I broke something which feeds rounds into the chamber? I'm considering getting a 20-inch Winchester .22 lever action.

  Sounds like You still have a Round stuck in the Tube or under the Feed Ramp....Take the Gun to a Gunsmith for a Checkup....Or Dismantle the Tube from Rifle...Then you can look inside the feed system...Be Careful....You have a potential disaster in your hands....

  Capt. Kirk: Thank you. I think I'll let the gunsmith deal with this one, judging from what you say. Anyone got an opinion on Golden Boys? (If the gunsmith fixes it simply, I've the option of keeping it for plinking and getting another .22 lever action, anyway!) I've also been reading posts on bolt action. Never had one.

  Ive had my Golden Boy for over a year now and it has performed flawlessly. I shoot lever action silhouettes with it so it gets shot often. This gun has the smoothest action I have ever seen.
  I would recommend one to anybody!
  A friend of mine bought one and the dovetail for the rear sight was machined improperly, he sent it back to Henry, and they sent him a brand new gun, with the real fancy grade walnut stock, and charged him nothing!
  Im a satisfied customer and would not hesitate to buy another one!
