Doesn't seem to be any info on ammo at the Herter's website - Cabela's is handling Herter's orders now also.

    Remington1,

I am not a collector but I do have to run information down occassionally. Here are a couple of places to start:

    www.cartridgecollectors.org

This is the website for the International Cartridge Collectors Association. Nice people like here, that will go out of their way to help if they can. Post on the forum and ask about your ammunition.

    http://members.shaw.ca/cstein0/emails.htm

This is a listing of other individuals and groups that deal with collectable ammunition. They also have a headstamp section that you can check.

Use a search engine to get a list for "cartridge collectors" or variations of that and you will get most of the top searchable sites. ohiohog's suggestion of looking at the headstamp can help with the identification process. I know that some of my Herter's brass was made by Norma. It's possible that they (Norma) also did some loading for Herter's.

Hopefully this is a bit of help.

    Best.

Check with Iconclast, he may be able to give you some leads. You might also check with HERTERSPECIALST@aol.com He has a lot of information regarding Herter's products.

My heros have always killed cowboys.
