i want to sell my gun without having to spend more money to find out it's general worth. can you help me?

Go to gunbroker home page, on the right hand side of the page. just a ways down, right under the banner on the second of three lines, you will see a word "search" that is NOT the search box. Don't use the big search box in the middle of the page. Click "search" word on the second line of options. You will be taken to a page where you can do a custom search, including items that sold back to 90 days ago (old search option). Put in what you want to find the price on and complete the search. You will see real world prices for the buckmark. By the way, I bought one last year for $130.00. I think I got a great deal.
PS: You will see page after page of guns that have not been bid on. That means the price was probably no appealing. Look for those that really sold.
