I have a group ind. uzi in new condition. Built in louisville K.Y.I would like to get information on this uzi & what it might be worth ?

  Group Industries in Louisville, KY had been doing conversions on UZIs for several years and was enthused about the reliability, simplicity, ease of maintenance and other advantages of the UZI.? As a result, they decided to build an "all-American" version.? They cloned the IMI UZI and got as far as the receiver stamping when the NFA ban passed in May 1986, during the Reagan administration.? This prohibited further importation and manufacture of full-auto weapons for public consumption. ? Any weapons - or in this case, weapon receivers - produced, numbered and registered prior to the ban were grandfathered. ?Group Industries ran into financial difficulties in 1992, after several hundred? of their UZIs were successfully produced and sold.? In 1995 the remaining inventory was sold at auction to pay debts.? Vector Arms acquired the receivers to continue the project.
