Cock the hammer. Then pull the rear trigger hard until you hear and feel it "click." The front trigger will now be set. When you put your finger on the front trigger, the slightest touch will trip it and the hammer will fall.
To better understand how set triggers work, remove them from the rifle and operate them. It will be clear after you see them work.

Contact T/C, they will send you an owners manual for your firearm! 0 -
you can also set them without cocking the hammer, but Rafter-s is correct just pull the rear one first , most likly it will pull fairly hard , you should feel and hear the click when it sets , then the front trigger is set for a very light pull ,,
you can also fire the gun by just using the front trigger( after cocking the hammer) but it will have a very hard pull if you do it that way ,, one other thing if you look between the 2 triggers you will see a small screw , turning that in or out will lighten or make the front trigger pull heavier when its set, if you go 2 fair on the light side the front trigger will not set, enjoy the new rifle0 -
Hey thanks for the help, I think I'm going to like BP shooting. 0
