Rust Blue '94 Win.??

Will the cast frames rust blue? I have one in the 4,775,000 range that is getting speckled and if they will rust blue, I can do it myself. Thanks, Dave

  My experience with hot rust blue and cast is the cast parts will turn a deep red color. Not a bad look with blued parts if your in to two-tone.

  I don't know what Winchester used, but the receiver is purple on the inside. I have always had good results with regular rust blue but understand the cast actions respond differently to bluing attempts. This is going to be a "car trunk gun" so I may just use Brownell's bake on Gun Kote - it worked fine on a FAL but I parked it first.
  Anyone ever tried to park one of the cast actions?
