YES!!!
i found 16 boxes hidden away in a long forgotten corner stacked behind 22 boxes of LAKE CITY 1971 NATIONAL MATCH 7.62MM 173 GR FMJ. i have set aside 2 or 3 boxes for you or cbxjeff if you are interested. we have been selling it at $26.99 per 50 round box. it went pretty fast, and i have been told it is worth much more, but we are making money, and providing customers with hard to find ammo for there guns.
i had left our shop email adress in response to the last thread here, but did not get a response back. email me at waltsgun@aol.com and tell them big mike sent you. its been pulled off the shelf and set aside. best regards, mike.

didnt they change that designation later on to 173 special ball when the 168 match hit the streets? geesh, we use to burn up that 173 stuff in m-60's just so we didnt have to bring it back to the armory down in P.R.!

ATF, i recieved both emails, and responded. i keep all my shop related emails going to the shop, for proffesional reasons. i can only acsess them from the shop, and am only in the shop a few hours a night.
if anyone is interested in the LAKE CITY MATCH please let me know. the local shooters think its overpriced, and do not realize how good it is. best regards, mike.

your old LCM may only have collectors value. Current Match ammo is 168gr BTHP and the old 173 gr was meant for the old M-14 using a 12 in 1 / 6 grove bbl. since most new guns shoot 10 in 1 / 4 groove, the 173 sits on the sidelines as inferior as match ammo. with the return of the heavier bullets in 600yd open events with, 'any gun any ammo,' you might see a renewed interest. but my instincts tell me youre gonna find some of those 173's seated off by 5,000ths in some cases! we use to go thru a can just to find 55 with 1 or 2,000ths play for a match. hope i helped.
