I've got a couple of boxes of the 1968 in the red white and blue cartons. Probably worth about $14 a box but I've seen a few up at auction for $18 a box. I guess they are worth what you will pay for them. Beach 0 -
Just curious as to what caliber NM ammo you have. It was made in .45 ACP, 7.62 NATO and .30 Cal. Even though the NM 7.62 was being made in 1968, I believe they were still loading NM .30 Cal. as some branches were still using the NM M1 Rifle in competition. 0 -
The five boxes I have are in .30-06. I think the .30-06 may be harder to find nowadays. I do have 7.62 NATO Match of much later date in brown cartons and I don't think it has anywhere near the value as the .30-06. Beach 0 -
i just discovered 22 full, sealed boxes of LAKE CITY 1971 MATCH 173 GRAIN 7.62MM in AMMO STORAGE CLOSET #2 under a pile of THUNDERBOLT.22 bricks. i have seen and fired some 1968 .30-06 NM ammo in the past. its great stuff, consistant and accurate. best regards, mike.
