"Sante Fe" was a trade name used by Golden State on a lot of the rifles they reworked/fabricated/imported etc. etc.
Chances are your uncles rifle started out as a standard, SMLE "Number 4 Mark 1" that Golden State reworked/sporterized into a "Jungle Carbine". This was done because the "Jungle Carbines" were more viable in the marketplace.
Because of this unfortunately, your rifle has little collectors value.0 -

I have heard that the Golden States conversions were becomeing colectable in there own right. Mostly be cause they did stamp there name on it. When other companeys would do the same conversions and not put there name on it.
But being it was your Uncle Joes it must be priceless to you.

Regardless of value, you have a great shooter there. I personally love the .303 brit cartridge, having 4 of them. Keep it, shoot it, hand it down to your children.
