Colt 22 Auto " Cadet" value

I have an in box Colt Cadet 22 auto with 4 1/2" barrel it has been fired about 100 times and has the carrying case and all papers. It is about as close to new conditionas it can get. What should I expect to sell it for? Thanks

  Welcome to GB...
  The "Targetsman model" Cadet is a .22lr stainless gun with a 10 shot magazine and fixed sights. It was introduced in '94 but discontinued in '95 because of some legalities of using a trademarked model name.
  A 100% NIB model is about $395
  A 98% model is about $295
  and a 95% model is about $250
  
  I'd say from your description yours falls in between the top two prices. I think it'd think a good fair price for it is $350, but that is subjective and partly depends on how fast you want to unload it. If it is near mint as you described, and you were patient you might be able to get the higher price for it.

  Thanks, for the reply, I am not the original owner but was with my friend when he bought it in the mid 90's. I knew he had it, and never shot it since it was new, so we did a little tradin' and I wound up with it. I ran 50 rounds through it and it was flawless, but I'm in the market for something else so I may list it soon.

  Colt got into a snag with an old trademark or patent name for a rifle made back in the 30's or 40's, I don't remember the company. The heirs didn't want anyone else use the name. Colt ended up calling it the Colt 22. The first one's were fixed sights and about a year later they brought out the target model with adjstable sights and vent rib. They both shoot well. I think they were trying to make an accurate, durable gun that would compete on price with Ruger. It was a tough sell. Soon after, Colt's financial situation caught up with them.

  It would sell for about $300. If it was me i'd keep it. Those are the sweetest shooting 22's.

  Since the Cletus85's original post is 10 years old. Questionable if the Colt is still available? Probably best thing to do, would be to contact him by clicking on his name, and send him a message.

  Thanks for your ten year old post! But the pistol you ask about is a great shooting little .22. I have four of the little guys and love them all.....and they are sweet shooting, nice lookin' little SS pistols that will shoot rings around most of my other cheaper .22 pistols. I have a couple scoped and take them to the range with my Smith 41's and they do fine....lots of fun. They will only appreciate in value IMO.
