need help with a crosman 600
I just recieved a crosman 600 from my father like a week ago.When i go charge it with the co2 i cant get the lid all the way screwed.I thought that i tightened it as far as it can go.but when i take the first shot the air starts escaping from the lid.If you need more detail just ask me.I would really like to know whats wronge with this gun.

I guess, by "the lid" you mean the screw in end plug? This should
have a "O" ring on it to seal it after this end cap punctures the
cartridge. Yes, have one of these 600's here and in use, although
I had it rebuilt about 10 years ago. Was told that these are quite rare, specially with the box and papers. After screwing the end cap
tight one should unscrew the end cap about 1/8 or so turn, then dry
fire it once before loading. To me it was well ahead of its time
in design. (Truely semi auto, 10 shots and no double action pulling.)
Do not leave a partially loaded CO 2 cartridge in it or your O ring
will swell from gas pressure makng it tight to screw and unscrew.
If you are missing the O ring or it is damaged I should have one in
one of my O ring kits that should work. Contact me and will send you one to your address if you need it. The O ring is around the
untreaded part of the end plug.0 -
how hard would it be to replace seals in this gun 0
