REM. 1100 BUTTSTOCK WILL IT OR WON'T IT

NEED TO KNOW.I HAVE BUTTSTOCK TO FIT 12GA. OR 20GA. 1100,I HAVE POTENTIAL CUSTOMER IN NEED OF 410GA. 1100 STOCK,WILL IT OR WON'T
IT FIT.YOUR HELP IS APPRCIATED .

  According to every publication I have (magazines to the owners manual) the stocks aren't interchangeable. I bet it'd work with modification, but I don't know to what extent. I have the Rem. 1100 .410, but no longer have a 12 gauge model.

  I can't recall the address but there's a guy that specializes in gun barrels and parts for obsolete and discontinued shotguns. Here's another place that had a stock for the .410 (albiet expensive). http://www.gun-parts.com/remstocks/

  thinman--the two stocks have different Remington part numbers; I'd say they are not interchangeable. The Owner's Manual part number for the 12, 16, and 20 gauge guns is 34770. P/N for the 28, .410, and 20LW is 30090. These manuals have some age on them so I'd suggest that you go to the Remington website and ask Remington direct. The skeet, trap, and mag's stocks also have different numbers.

  12 & 20 ARE TOO BIG AROUND. WILL FIT BUT TAKES A LOT,OF WORK

  Thinman;
  The shory answer,, no it won't fit, and, no it can't be nodified to fit. The dementional differences between in the 12 and 410 gauge recievers is tooo great. The 410 is built on a smaller reciever than the 12.
