Problem with Walther PPK/S
Had a malfunction with my 3-yr. old PPK/S .380 auto yesterday. It was shooting just fine when all of a sudden it ripped off four rounds with one pull of the trigger. A couple of times it fired two rounds with one pull. I also noticed that several times, after firing a round , a new round was chambered but the hammer fell as the slide went forward and the new round did not go off.
This pistol was bought new and has had about 100 rounds through it. It is clean and well maintained. I don't have any experience in gun repair, but I suspect a seer problem. Any experts have any thoughts?
Interarms/Walther has a 1-year warranty so it is out of warranty even though it has been hardly used. Anyone have experience with Interarms honoring a warranty in a situation like this?

Interarms is out of business, so obtaining any warranty repair is not a problem.
Even if a warranty were available, due to the high cost of shipping a pistol (UPS or FEDEX Next Day Air), you would still be better off paying a local gunsmith to repair it.

It sounds like your sear spring has come unsprung in some way.
I don't know about Interarms fixing problems once a pistol is out of warranty, but it shouldn't be too hard to find a 'smith to work on such a widely distributed type firearm. The problem you're having doesn't indicate any expensive components have broken.0 -
Interarms is out of business! Smith & Wesson is the American distributor for Walther now.
It's been my experience, that even though a firearm is out of warranty the manufacturer will go out of their way to help you resolve the problem if it is safety related, in light of the liabilaty issues they could face if they didn't. (Think the 3 L's, "Lawyers", "Litigation", and "Liability").
