I am not impressed with the quality. It appears that every cost saving corner was cut as closely as possible. It is NOT a 700 in any shape, form or fashion. For those that may shoot 5-10 rounds a year, it should be adequate but for about the same money I would buy one of the Savage combos that should last for many years without significant degradation.

    I have to agree w/punchie.
Just got through zeroing in my brother's new
710 30-06.I don't know if their supposed to be
bore-sighted or not,but this thing was 6" off
the paper at 25 yds!Anyway, yesterday I got it
in the 'eye at 100yds.Overall,I think for the average
    hunter,who doesn't shoot a lot,their ok,but the
Bushnell that came with it sucks. He's gonna try it
like it is this season, but is already thinking about
    a better scope.On the other hand,his son bought a
710 in .270 that was dead-on right out of the box.
    Go figure.

    One thing's for sure,A 700 IT AINT!
If that is the price range your after,
I'd be lookin' for a good used gun of higher quality.IMHO

IT'S WHAT PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THEMSELVES THAT MAKES THEM AFRAID.
