mak 90 post or pre ban

Mak 90 ser. # 121XX is this a pre or post ban? Also what modifications can be made and still be legal to own. I have been told as many as 5 changes can be made, if so what are they? Thanks for any reply, Bob

  Post ban, MAK 90 stand for modified AK 1990. Pre ban would be a AK47. Not sure what changes you can legally make.

  martz is absolutely correct, there is no such thing as a preban MAK90. Chinese rifles are subject to the 1989 ban, not the 1994 ban, MAK90 means it was made after 1990. Best you could do is add the necessary US made parts and add a pistol grip.
