7.5 swiss to 308

Looking at building a new rifle, and was wanting to know what experiances anyone has has rebarreling a swiss 7.5 to 308? If so are there any after market stocks being made?

  No aftermarket stocks I know of. So far as the conversion goes, you would have to cut a bit off the shank of the barrel, rethread, and final ream, or so I think. Not worth it with such a good caliber.

  Might want to check out swissrifles.com
  
  Lots of good info on these rifles, including what conversions work. The .308 might be too hot, I know of one or two that did 30-30. Just be sure you have a 1911 and not a 1889 or 1895.
