Boyd Stocks
I purchased a stock from Boyd that, according to there
advertising, was supposed to be virtually inletted.
To fit my Remington Mod 512 Clip action 22 cal rifle.
I spent a couple of days finishing it. When I tried
to get the Rifle to fit I discover that Boyd had holes
bored at a rigt angles to the surface that were cut at
a 45 degrees on my original. When I tried to get
Boyd's help they told me on the phone that because I
had finishing the stock I had void any warrentee It
might have carried. I tried to send it back for there
inspection and they refused it. After investing
better part of a week finishing this stock. I could never
get the clip to will in the rifle. My old stock was cut
for a boy when I bought it.

I don't understand,..what exactly is the problem?
does the rifle bolt into the stock,..and is the magazine insertion/ejection the issue? If so,..you may have to remove some material from around the magazine port,..and then re-install the barreled action.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

A remington 512 has a tubular magazine, not a clip-Bob

A word to the wise on unfinished gunstocks. If the stock is advertised as a "drop-in" unfinished stock, ALWAYS make sure the firearm fits the stock before finishing to avoid the problems encountered. This will assure the stock is correct to the firearm so an exchange can be made if shipped/ordered in error. End user "finished" stocks are nothing but firewood to the manufacturer once altered. 0 -
Are you complaining about Boyd's? If you altered the stock before you determined it would not work, or before you tried to return it, you made it your problem. I have two Boyd's laminate stocks that were literally drop ins. they also make many if not most of the laminate and other stocks for the Manufacturers. Hardly a fly-by-night outfit
