Value, 700 ADL, 1974 model......
Howdy there. I have a 1974 Remington 700 ADL in a 30-06. The Blueing is in "nice" condition, a few marks from honest wear but no rust whatsoever and for a 74 model, the blueing is shiny and looks pretty good. The stock was only in "fair" codition, So I sanded of the gloss down to bare wood and refinished it with several coats of oil/sanding to give it a darker,natural / matte finish. The stock now is far nicer looking than the old "cheap gloss" finish, and is scratch free, rich in color. Rifling is good. The gun is certainly not worn out. What is approximate value of this gun in everyones opinion. I also have a BDL , and I like the stock on my adl even better now!!! thanks again, RED
