Tac Star side saddle problems for a Remington 1100

I have a Remington 1100 magnum with a Tac Star side saddle that is mounted on the resiever for holding extra shells. My problem is in order for my 1100 to cycle 2 3/4 shells, the mounting screw's need to be very lose, and my side saddel, also has becomes very loosely mounted on the resiever by doing so. Dose any one have any sugestions to help make my side saddle mount more firmly to the reciever of my 1100, while still allowing for the mounting screws to be losse, so my 1100 can shot 2 3/4 shells.   Welcome to the GB forums.
  
  It's been a while since I've messed with these holders, but would it be possible to put a small washer or other spacer to allow it to fit right.
  Also, unless you want both, you maybe could just put a magazine extention (if legal in your area) to it so you don't have to mess with reloading at all.
  I had a similiar (yet odd) problem with an old S&W semi-auto pistol. When the grip screws were tightened all the way the slide wouldn't close all the way. I was able to add just a slight amount of JB Weld behind the grips, to act as a spacer and that fixed it.

  I second the washer suggestion (it's cheap and easy to try), or possibly hit the local hardware store for screws that are shorter.
