Savage M99 Gunsmithing Question??

Hello, I have a .308win M99 Savage. I have located a .358win barrel that I would like to fit to the rifle. I have a barrel press and receiver wrench with which I regularly extract and fit Mauser 98 barrels. I expect to modify the wrench for the M99. I would like to ask some questions to a gunsmith who works with the model 99 Savage about this project. Please contact me at eghunt@earthlink.net
