What is the best way of selling someone's entire gun collection???

What does best mean? Speed, money, or less hassle?
For speed and less hassle; sell to a dealer that will come, appraise, purchase, and haul off the entire lot.
For speed, contact a auctioneer and do the live auction thing.
For the most money, sell each individually via GB, Gunlist, Shotgun News or your local newspaper (If you live in a freedom loving area).
It all depends on your priorities.

Having just recently sold a large group of guns I can recomend a gun auction if it is legal in your area. It brings together a large group of people that want to bye guns and they will compete with each other to win the bid. With over 75 guns sold only 2 did not bring over what Fjestad said they were worth. Some a lot more, And a few of those sold for what I thought was a great price. A lot more than I would have paid if I had been bidding. So they made up for the 2 that did not do well. Tell the bidders up front that there is a fee added to the winning bid to pay the FFL guy to do the paper work. Then use this money to do just that. Pay him for his day and his hard work he will have to pay a helper take this in to concideration. You will most likly recive e-mail off the forum reguarding this matter. Tread carefully. Do NOT just call a gunshop owner and invite him over to give a price for everything. My mother did that after my father died ... boy did we every get robbed. But she wanted them out of the house.[:(]
