FIREARMS VALUE REFERENCE?
I WOULD LIKE SOME ADVICE RECOMMENDING WHAT IS CONSIDERED THE BEST SOURCE FOR FIREARMS VALUE COVERING, IN PARTICULAR, THE USED ITEMS.

i have The Gun Digest book of Modern Gun Values it seems very reliable as far as prices on used guns,you should be able to find one at a local book store 0 -
I Personally use BALDERSON'S Official Price Guide Book on Antique and Modern Firearms, as I find His Price Guide to be most realistic.....

The most recent edition of Balderson is 1996 though Capt. Kirk and really only lists collectables. The Blue Book of Gun values is probably the most used reference. The Standard Catalog of Modern Gun Values comes next and there are others. Each has its strengths and weakness, each offers some information on some firearms the others do not. What they have in common is that the values they list bear little relation to what is being ask for firearms out in the world. They are really useful for information on the firearms, helping sort out what is original and what has been changed and a 'ball park value.'
