ak variants.
i am a small time collector and my favorite is the ak. i read about so many different ones.(confusion),slr95,slr100,slr101,sari,sar2,sar3,sr93,sa85,etc. is there any article or website to clear my confusion.

What specific questions did you have? I have handled AK's from the various countries since 1986. There is a lot of info about the different ones out there. It would be easier to answer your questions if I knew what you were wanting to know.

Here's what I think. If you can find a mac90 ak47 varient, you will find out that these are in my opinion the best quality ak varient out there today. I've had one for 4 years now and it is my favorite gun to play with! hardly ever needs cleaned and fires like a champ everytime. Whether its a 40 rd. clip or the 100 drum, this gun lays down some serious ground fire. If you can get into a rythem with them, thy cycle almost as fast as a full auto ak. If I had to go to war today, the ak would be my gun of choice over all the other assault weapons I own.( mini 14 w/folding stock and 40 mags, cetme 308, l1a1 308 ) Why? Because it is reliable, never jams, and can go through 1,000's of rounds with out any cleaning. 0
