Redfield peep sight
I have a Winchester Model 71 fitted with a Redfield Peep Sight. The sight has 2 small screws holding the side plate. One of the screws is missing, the other half the head is broken off. Does anyone have any idea where I can obtain those two screws. Redfield is no help, they won't answer their phone. Desperately seeking screws.

Stroebel's book; "Old Gunsights" (this is the first time I've used this book, lots of interesting info!), shows a price of $30 to $75 for Redfield #70 receiver sights and mentions that production ended in 1964. In good shape with the papers and packaging I'd say that your sight would be near the high end of Stoebel's price range. The letter "L" is for the Savage Model 99, just as the box states, and the "H" indicates so called "hunter knobs". Thanks for letting me use my new reference book!

Mark,
Can not believe you purchased a reference book on sights!
BOBBY-in real life-the sight may go for twenty bucks. If you put in E-bay, not a follower of this group-perhaps more. Bobby-ask some more questions on the GF. Best of luck-1010 -
Like I said if Nick Doesn't know nobody does, Mark I guess this makes you a disciple![:D]
