I have two; a 3 to 9 and a 4x. They were only about $30 new.

This is amazing, I just purchased a custom rifle, Mauser K98, Oberndorf action Griffen and Howe side mount all the bells and whistles, and guess what the scope was, yep, a Weaver Challenger 3x9 power C9V. I said to myself why would someone build a custom rifle ane put this scope on it? It sights in fine and holds mark. Any info on it will help. 0 -
Late 70's early 80's. I have the C4R on a Beeman 250 spring-air pellet rifle and it has held up well. This rifle has severe vibration when firing and I am surprised that this cheap scope didn't detonate internally. Of course, most of my stuff has been in hibernation since about 85.
