a # or web address for the company Protective Materials Co. in florida I believe. they make military body armor. I have their PS930 ranger body armor and need to know what I have and its value - it has the front and rear trauma plates that are a kevlar and ceramic combination. are these level 3 or 4? it weighs in at about 40 lbs. email me if you know anything - gichaeljor@charter.net

  Probably level IV, most of the vests that have ceramic are anti-rifle vests. I used to wear a IIIa and it was only about 7lbs and was just kevlar. Next step up from that is usually to stop 223, 30 Carbine, and 308, hence they get heavy and thick in a hurry.[8D]

  thanks 50, that is it. ps the date on it is 1994 and it does say that it will stop up to a 44mag, and 30 cal ball with the added plate. so I'm with you K on it being a level 4, but I will call the co thanks to 50 and get the right specs on it.
