Western Field .22 lever action

The model number is M663 and was bought from Montgomery Ward. I have looked on the internet and found cross references for Western Field guns but could not find this model number listed. I would like to know who made this rifle for Montgomery Ward. Thanks.

  My guess is that your rifle was made by Mossberg. If you can find a picture of a Mossberg Palamino, model number is 400, they also made a model 402, carbine version.
