S&W 'N' frame "Goncalvo" grips

WHEN -year- did S&W first come out with their target "Goncalvo' stocks?? Was it before 1968 when S&W went from the 'S' frame to the 'N' frame designation (in response to the 1968 Gun Control Act). Or, maybe before the 'S'?? Got some info.?? Thank you!
