How do I set up a swedging die?

I have a rcbs primer pocket swedge combo die that Joe sent me. How do I set it up? There are no directions with it. Is there any special way you have to set it up?
I put the swedging holder in, ran the ram all the way up and adjusted the die down till the swedge shaft met the swedging holder. Is this right?

  I have used one of these for years. Basicaly all you have to do is adjust the rod down far enough to press the the case solidly against the bottom of the swager. It really doesn't matter how the die is adjusted as long as it doesn't bottom out against the swager. The die just needs to be far enough down that you have room to adjust the rod to the proper position. The press handle does not have to come completely down as it does when you are sizing a case.
