legal to ship less bolt?
curious- saw .22 bolt action rifle on ebay that seller says only needs bolt - i know ebay does not allow complete firearms but my question is can a firearm be purchased & shipped leagly to an individual just because it needs a part of this sort?

RECIEVER is still a FIREARM according to the Powers that Be, and must be shipped thru an FFL...If it can be proved that the reciever is Pre 1898, then it's No problem...The Bolt can be shipped with No Problem in anycase...

thank you - this is for sure not a pre 1898 rifle - not a very good discribtion but looks to be a 50's or 60's single shot winchester rifle - could'nt & still can't figure why it's being sold on ebay.if anyone cares to look the item # is 3621420950

Went up to Ebay and punched in the Numbers you posted...The item has been pulled.....So it looks like you don't have to worry about it anymore....They either caught 'it' on they're own, or someone pointed it out to them..............
